The Geissele URG-I 10.3″ Near Clone Upper Receiver is a high-performance, military-inspired 5.56 NATO complete upper modeled after the U.S. Armys issued upper receiver group for special operations use. Built for reliability and accuracy under extreme conditions, this upper includes Geisseles premium components such as the SMR MK16 9.3″ M-LOK handguard, Airborne Charging Handle, and the Reliability Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group. The upper ships fully assembled and includes a Super 42 braided buffer spring with H3 buffer, giving users a complete, ready-to-install solution on any mil-spec AR-15 lower.
Geissele URG-I Near Clone Features
This upper features a 10.3 inch barrel with a 1 in 7 inch twist rate, optimized for heavy 5.56 loads and CQB applications. A Surefire 4-Prong flash hider is factory-installed and is compatible with Surefire SOCOM suppressors, offering tactical versatility. The barrel is chrome-lined and cold hammer-forged to military specifications for long service life and consistent accuracy.
The Desert Dirt Color 9.3 inch SMR MK16 M-LOK handguard provides a lightweight, rigid platform for accessory mounting with low-profile ergonomics. Also included is a Desert Dirt Color Geissele Airborne Charging Handle for ambidextrous operation. The Reliability Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group, coated with Nanoweapon technology, delivers exceptional performance in extreme environments by resisting carbon buildup and corrosion.
The package is completed with a Super 42 braided wire buffer spring and H3 buffer combo, which reduces recoil and increases reliability over standard carbine buffer systems.
